NYX NAIL POLISHES- REVIEW/SWATCHES!!!!!!!

Hey guys,

Sorry for such a gaped communication but I have been running a little busy.  But anyway during the valentine Nykaa sale I went a little crazy and bought bunch of nail paints from various brands and of which one is NYX.

I bought five nail paints and they have over 40 colors to choose from so you can probably understand by dilemma while choosing colors that I might like.
So I have some good things to say and just a few complains as well so lets get into the review.

Price-Rs.350/polish

Qty: 0.52 oz i.e. 15 ml

Consistency: The nail paints are bit streaky but a double coating will probably survive for a opaque look.
The problem with these nail paints are their dry up time suck big time. Its like when I apply the nail paint I need to wait for 15 mins for nail paint to dry completely.
Rating: 3.5/5

The staying power is amazing, like 2 weeks with no chipping and no fall out. I didnt require any touchups and that is without any top or base coat. Colors I got are:

1) Royal blue : A very very deep peacock blue like a dark blue shade but with a metallic finish. My fav of all the shades I hold.

2) Pastel Mint : pistachio like color, the color comes of as white in pictures dont know why but honestly it is not, it definitely has a hint of green to it, name is just perfect, mint! Dupe of this color is in Loreal Parla de jade

3) Ink :One word: Ink!! The color is exactly the same color of ink that once we use to dip our pen in a bottle.

4) Deep Purple :This color was most surprising to me and I love it. I have seen many purple nail paints but this is so rich in its violet accords. Beautiful!

5) Teal : This color was a bit of a let down. I have seen better teal colors but this is okay. A green based blue or it is the other way? dont know but overall I am not a fan.

L to R: Teal, Deep purple, Ink, Pastel Mint, Royal Blue

Index finger to thumb: Royal Blue, Pastel mint, ink, Deep purple, Teal

DEBORAH LIPPMANN Nail Polish: Some Enchanted Evening, Mermaid's Dream !!!!!!!!

Hello Guys,

So I am back with a nail polish review. Today I am reviewing  widely popular and expensive brand Deborah Lippmann nail polishes. I got two for myself from Luxola. You can pretty much get it anywhere online, just type in google and many websites will appear.

Price: Rs.1500 par nail paint (I knowww..crazy right?) but trust me its worth it.

All glitter nail polishes in Deborah Lippmann collection is a gem and I want to gulp them all in my kitty but sadly it being too expensive restricts me in such heartbreaking way. Deborah's nail polishes are named after famous songs and she tries to find inspiration for her nail paints through songs itself. If you are not familiar with her nail polishes, I suggest you go and look now coz they are worth it.

Staying power: 1 and half week with no base coat or top coat.
Color payoff: amazing, except if its chunky nail polish try using a base color first.

Note:- always use base coat before them or else it is impossible to remove them, if you want to remove it after party and not let it stay on for like 2 weeks.

Some enchanted evening: Copper glitters in small chunks and big dots, just beautiful!!!

Mermaid's Dream: Sea blue turquoise shade with blue and green glitter particles.

Swatch fest: enjoy!!!!

No top coat or base coat, just 2 coating of some enchanted evening(index and alternate finger) and Mermaid's dream

No base coat or top coat

Maybelline Color show Glitter Mania nail polish- Review!!!!!

Hey guys,

I am back with another nail polish review on maybelline glitter mania range that consist of 8 colors all together. I picked up 4 for myself and I am quite loving these nail polishes.

Price- Rs. 125 per polish

These polishes contain minute confetti of glitter particles. One advice from personal experience, dont ever apply these polishes, like any glitter nail polishes without a base coat coz otherwise these are impossible to remove and a gigantic pain in your behind.

These polishes seem rough in appearance but they are not at all clingy or rough like that horrible noise of playing nails on a black board, I just shuddered. My point is, they are easy to apply and smooth in touch. What I hate about them is the consistency. These are super liquidy in consistency, I swear the first time I applied them I had a second of distraction and a big dollop size blob fell on my bed-sheet, argh!!!!!

Overall rating- 3.5/5

So enough babbling. Checkout the swatches!!!

L to R : All that glitters, Pink Champagne, Bling on the blues, Matinee Mauve

It looks like colored rain droplets. I only wish they weren't so grainy.

Loreal Paris Color Riche Vernis nail polish- Review!!!!!!

Hello guys,

As hinted by the titled I am reviewing the L'Oreal Paris color riche vernis nail polishes. I got them in four vibrant shades : Cafe saint Germain, Versailles gold, Parla de jade and Scarlet Red.

L to R: Cafe saint GermainVersailles gold, Parla de jade & Scarlet Red
Price: Rs. 225
Qty : I was a little disappointed when I saw that each bottle is 5 ml only for the price.

All except Parla de jade have exceptional pigmentation and not streaky. Parla de jade is bit tricky to apply. But all the swatches down below have two coats of nail polish.
L to R: Cafe saint GermainVersailles gold, Parla de jade & Scarlet Red

Cafe Saint Germain: Dark brown oak wood color. Like a dirty coffee shade
Versailles gold: Very close match to rose gold.
Parla de jade : Dupe Nyx pastel Mint
Scarlet Red: True red
Also I have not used any top coat on any of these nail colors.

After 3 days of wearing. No chipping. No fall out. Love them.

Loreal Paris Le Matte Color Riche lip colors- Review!!!!!!

Hello guys,

Today I am doing another exciting review on Loreal Paris le matte lip colors. Alike to nyx soft matte lip creams, they are matte finish. If I am right there are total of 4 matte shades and 4 lacquer shade in the entire collection. The sad part is they were limited edition and they wont be available in stores anymore but don’t worry you can buy them of ebay.

I bought mine from ebay too. Price: $10-$12 per piece. OMG boy are these not soft or what. They come in twist up pen format which I like coz I hate sharpening pencils like NYX lip pencil. Application is super easy and they feel like applying velvet cloth onto my lips.

They are super pigmented and it leaves a stain that trust me will stay on for many hours ofcourse with little bit here and there rubbing off. They don’t seem to transfer at all once you give them like 15 mins to sink in your lips. I got mine in two shades:
No matter what- very light nude beige. It doesn’t even show up on my lips coz my lips are super pigmented.
Matter of fact- deep wine, super vampy color!!! My personal fav.

Matter of fact-Day light dials down the color a little

Matter of fact is very deep wine color. The picture is not doing full justice. It is as dark as on my wrist.
Love them, wish loreal can bring them back.

Rimmel Stronger Try Harder Double Duty Base Coat - REVIEW!!!!!!

Hello,

I never understood the need of base coat or top coat. I am full conventional, always using things in a bare minimum fashion. Also up until few weeks ago I had never tried glitter nail polishes so when I did I found it was almost impossible to take the glitter polish out even after hours of rubbing my nails.

After like 10 mins I still could see hints of glitter on my nails and I read this article about important of a good base coat and how it prevents your nails from turning yellow or prevent from chipping and healthy growth so I thought to buy myself one. And then I landed on Rimmel Stronger Try Harder Double Duty Base Coat.

Rimmel base coat claims to Strengthen and protect nails from damage. It contains calcium and Keratin in it which strengthens brittle nails. Price: Rs.212 ($3-$4)

My experience: I on purpose used this base coat to see it is easier for glitter polish to come off and yes, it did help in easy removal of glitter chunks. I also do find that it helps in even application with single stroke of nail polish brush.

Cons: 1) It smells so bad, like thinner and it reeks of kerosene or something.

Thats all the cons I can come up with. Ya the drying time is over 1 min but I can make it work. Dont know if it strengthened by nails, only time will tell. For now I am really liking it.

Sally Hansen hard as nails Xtreme wear nail color Review- DEEP PURPLE, PINK SATIN

Hey guys,

I recently got tow new shades in sally hansen  Xtreme nail color line and reviewing them today.

One shade is Deep Purple which is like bright shimmery purple, plain and simple purple. I have base coat on my fingers and then 2 coats of deep purple. I found deep purple to be little bit streaky but nothing major. Also I find applicator bristle to be a bit long to give an even application. Overall I like this color.

Next in line is Pink Satin which is a beautiful light pink almost like champagne pink shimmery nail polish. I only had to use one coat of this color. This color in particular is very opaque. Love it.

Price: Rs.250 ($3)
Overall rating: 4/5

Want to try other colors in this range so I have ordered few more. I will review them separately once they arrive.
